Physician for Veterans' Disability Assessments

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician with expertise in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) to conduct independent medical assessments for veterans through our disability benefits process. This is a unique opportunity for a PM&R physician to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our nation's heroes.
Job SummaryThe selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical records, conducting comprehensive evaluations, and completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) via a secure online portal. The primary goal is to provide accurate and objective medical assessments that contribute to timely and fair disability determinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
- Conduct thorough, non-treating assessments of veterans to document current health conditions.
- Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings.
- Ensure that all DBQs are detailed, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours of the assessment.
- Average up to four assessments per day.
Work Schedule:
This position requires 2 days/week of travel within Montana, with additional Telehealth days. Our team values flexibility and work-life balance.

- Strong analytical skills to synthesize data from comprehensive medical records and physical assessments.
- Effective time management and attention to detail to complete tasks within deadlines.
- Comfort with digital documentation and record review.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- An active MD or DO license with a specialization in PM&R.
- Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology (preferred). A completed two-year residency in a relevant specialty will also be considered.
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail.
Salary and Benefits:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $200,000 - $250,000 annually, depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
