The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of robotic systems utilized in clinical and applied markets. This position is integral to the success of Clear Labs, a company dedicated to revolutionizing diagnostics through advanced technology.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Field Service Engineer will be responsible for:
- Conducting routine maintenance and addressing urgent repair needs for robotic systems.
- Engaging with clients through various communication channels to foster trust and confidence in Clear Labs' capabilities.
- Documenting service visits and maintaining comprehensive records of work performed.
- Providing insights to internal teams to enhance system reliability and address potential issues.
- Collaborating with the Client Care team to ensure maximum equipment uptime and responsiveness.
- Assisting with logistics to guarantee timely shipping of products and finished goods, while offering feedback on inventory management.
- Upholding a professional demeanor in all interactions with clients and vendors.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
- A willingness to travel frequently, with potential travel commitments ranging from 25% to 75% monthly.
- Flexibility in working hours, typically between 20-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Hands-on experience in field service, particularly within the biotech, life sciences, or robotics sectors.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities, especially in electronics, electromechanical systems, and robotics.
- Experience with Hamilton liquid handlers is highly desirable, with certification considered a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on managing customer expectations and delivering outstanding service.
- The physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 80 lbs on occasion.
- Authorization to work in the US without the need for immigration sponsorship.
Compensation will be competitive and based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
- Hourly wage commensurate with expertise.
- Lunch stipend for on-site work.
- Reimbursement for business-related phone expenses, up to $100 monthly.
