Sunset Assisted Living Sous Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Sunset Assisted Living in Quincy, IL. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and healthy environment for our residents by serving nutritious and flavorful meals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review menus and allocate time to tasks to ensure efficient meal preparation.
  • Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus, focusing on presentation and palatability.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in plating and serving resident meals in the Dining Room.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, responding to feedback and fostering a positive dining experience.
  • Coordinate with the healthcare team to accommodate special dietary requirements.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and dietary guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy items as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
