Payroll Coordinator Job Description

At Saturn Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for coordinating and participating in bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards for policy and procedure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Data Management: Establish and maintain payroll data elements, execute payroll software processes, manage payroll system tests and upgrades, handle tax transmissions, and generate internal payroll reports.
  • Payroll Reporting: Prepare various payroll-related reports, including 941 forms, W-2 processing, and account reconciliations, and support management by identifying issues and providing recommendations.
  • Payroll Compliance: Facilitate assessments of pay practice interpretations and support internal and external audit requests.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively contribute to the Human Resource Information System team to ensure ongoing system development.
Requirements:
  • Education: 2-year Associate's Degree in business or related field.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of computerized payroll experience, including in-depth knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • Skills: Proficiency in general accounting and software applications, ability to handle confidential information, and strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
