We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Early Childhood Office Support Specialist to join our team at the John W. Hoffman Early Learning Center.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and assisting with program monitoring and policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft correspondence, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate records.
  • -Type and proof various documents, including letters, memoranda, and reports.
  • Answer phone calls, route messages, and provide information according to organizational policy.
  • Manage student, personnel, and school information, including database updates and record maintenance.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments for supervisors or department staff.
  • Maintain files and records, order office supplies as needed.
  • Collect and submit child and program data into Child Plus and other spreadsheets.
  • Perform various clerical duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma (required) or Associate's Degree (preferred)
  • Experience working in an Early Childhood Center (preferred)
  • Bilingual skills (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ChildPlus and JCampus data systems (preferred)
  • Superb organizational and planning skills, ability to multitask and work efficiently under deadlines.
  • A constant learner, soliciting feedback and implementing new ideas.
  • An unwavering belief in students' potential to achieve high levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, seeking solutions and taking action to benefit stakeholders.
  • Tenacious follow-through skills, meeting commitments.
  • Systems thinking, creating and maintaining efficient organizational systems.
  • Experience working with low-income and/or minority children and families.
