Contract - Entry-Level Financial Analyst - 8-month Duration

This role is an entry-level position within the Budget & Analysis/Corporate Portfolio Management Department. Key responsibilities involve managing master data within the IM and PS modules of SAP, establishing new projects, entering annual project budgets, updating budget modifications, and authorizing project funding. Additional duties will include supporting financial analysis and reporting for the corporate project portfolio.

Department-Specific Position Summary

Core Responsibilities
  • Handles project maintenance (creation, closure, and funding adjustments) for individual and overall project budgets in the accounting system, which totals between $40 million and $75 million annually.
  • Completes monthly updates of the project portfolio, reflecting approved funding, actual expenditures, and comparisons to forecasted values for over 150 active projects.
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly financial reports utilized by the Executive Team to oversee company and divisional financial performance.
  • Contributes to the development of financial analysis, reporting, and presentation materials for management, Finance Committee, Audit Committee, and Board of Directors regarding current financial status and company performance against objectives and long-term financial strategies.
  • Supplies project financial data for the creation of budget and project presentation materials for the Executive Team, Finance Committee, Members Committee, and Board of Managers.
  • Maintains and revises all project system and pricing model desk procedures and internal controls documentation.
Qualifications
Required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel, and MS-PowerPoint)
  • Capability to produce high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP, particularly IM and PS modules
  • Knowledge of MS-Excel pivot tables
  • Relevant work experience (0-3 years)
Estimated Min Rate: $21.00
Estimated Max Rate: $30.00
