The Financial/Billing Counselor position at Mile Bluff Medical Center is dedicated to helping patients navigate financial assistance programs and setting up payment arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Scheduling Department to provide estimates and billing clients.
- Handle self-pay collections and ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Collaborate with patients to understand their financial needs and develop personalized payment plans.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Training in Marketplace and/or collections preferred.
- 3+ years of related work experience in a medical billing or patient financial services role.
Preferred Skills:
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in medical billing software.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
