Renewable Term Lecturer

We are seeking a highly qualified Renewable Term Lecturer to join our team in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma. The successful candidate will teach the general education course "Gateway to the Social Sciences" and contribute to the First Year Experience Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Teach the Gateway to the Social Sciences course, introducing students to the social sciences and their contributions to our understanding of the world.
- Develop and implement a multi-disciplinary approach to teaching, incorporating various methodological approaches and current issues in social sciences.
- Build critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students, as well as their ability to articulate ideas verbally and in writing.
- Collaborate with teams of instructors to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Doctorate in Social Sciences or related field.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in cultivating enriching discussions and spurring critical thinking among students.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in engaging first-year and transfer students in collegiate standards.
