Museum Studies Faculty Position

We are seeking a qualified individual to join our faculty team as a Lecturer of Library and Information Studies with a specialization in Museum Studies. This is a full-time, renewable term position with a 9-month academic year contract and a 3-month summer requirement.

Responsibilities
  • Teach graduate-level courses in Museum Studies, including courses on museum management, administration, leadership, and technology for museum professionals.
  • Develop and teach new courses in Museum Studies, as needed.
  • Mentor graduate students and supervise student independent courses and projects.
  • Contribute to systematic planning and development within the School of Library and Information Studies, including attending faculty meetings and participating in SLIS committees.
Qualifications
  • Earned Ph.D. with a focus on Museum Studies or a related field.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience, preferably in an online, asynchronous format.
  • Experience teaching graduate students and developing curriculum in Museum Studies.
