Renewable Term Instructor of Department of Educational Psychology, Special Education Program

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced instructor to join our team in the Department of Educational Psychology, Special Education Program at the University of Oklahoma. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses within the special education program, including content courses and field placement and supervision. The position is a 9-month, full-time, teaching-focused, and renewable instructor line with a course load of four in-person classes or equivalent each semester.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach courses within the special education program, including content courses and field placement and supervision
  • Maintain strong relationships with partner school district and personnel
  • Assist with accreditation processes
  • Mentor undergraduate teacher candidates in both formal and informal spaces
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited university, and in an educational field closely related to special education
  • Minimum of three years of teaching experience in special education
  • Experience working with preservice or inservice teachers
  • Desired qualifications include PhD, experience teaching in higher education, and experience teaching in online environments
