Job Summary:

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel and real property on the base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct armed patrols, mounted and on foot, to monitor the base and report any security breaches or incidents.
  • Stand post at designated locations, including entrance and egress points, to ensure compliance with access regulations.
  • Provide oral and written reports to central dispatch, supervisors, or other designated persons, as required.
  • Respond to dispatches, alarms, and observe situations to ensure the security of property and personnel.
  • Function as a first responder to cordon off/contain an area during spills and discharges which may contain hazardous substances or explosives.
  • Conduct vehicle and/or foot patrols of perimeter and other assigned locations to monitor individuals and vehicles entering sensitive and restricted areas.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance.
  • Must be a United States or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) site access.
  • Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment.
  • Must be able to pass/maintain PILB certification throughout employment.

Working Conditions:

This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position and is subject to the requirements of the HWAD Medical Surveillance Plan and Matrix and the HWAD A&D Program.
