Key Responsibilities

Role Summary

The Liaison Engineer at PSA Airlines will serve as the Subject Matter Expert, addressing technical discrepancies in aircraft operations to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the CRJ-700/900.

Primary Duties
  • Provide technical repairs and engineering guidance for CRJ-700/900 aircraft during daily operations to ensure safe and compliant operation within a 121 Airline environment.
  • Facilitate communication of technical requirements between OEM MHIRJ and PSA's frontline maintenance teams.
  • Offer engineering support for aircraft out of service (AOS) within PSA's fleet as necessary.
  • Prepare for and execute on-site recovery of aircraft with both major and minor structural damage.
  • Conduct engineering evaluations of real-time safety events (e.g., hard landings, severe turbulence) and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Possess knowledge of Code of Regulations (CFRs), airworthiness design criteria, and aircraft operational characteristics.
  • Interpret complex engineering and OEM documentation effectively.
  • Assist in developing Temporary Repair Requirements within the Maintenance & Engineering system.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the airline to achieve superior safety and reliability outcomes.
  • Provide 24/7 technical support to enhance the technical skills of frontline Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMT).
  • Oversee the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and related Safety Risk Management and Assurance outputs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Relevant experience in Technical Operations/Maintenance within a 121 Airline environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present effectively to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Must demonstrate authorization to work in the US if hired.
Additional Information

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory duties.

Delegation: In the absence of the Liaison Engineer, responsibilities will be delegated to the Director of Engineering & Technical Services.

Work Environment: This role operates in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands: The physical requirements for this position include regular communication, a predominantly sedentary role, and occasional requirements to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 25 lbs, and reach with hands and arms.
