We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary care team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with physicians to manage outpatient care, provide anticipatory guidance, patient and family education, and psychological and emotional support.
Responsibilities- Manage therapeutic regimens for acute and chronic problems associated with disease, treatment, and/or conditions
- Provide anticipatory guidance, patient and family education, and psychological and emotional support
- Collaborate with co-workers and institutions to ensure effective communication and care coordination
- Take advantage of formal and informal learning opportunities to strengthen knowledge base and advance nursing/medical care
- Authorization to practice in an expanded role as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current certification from a nationally recognized accrediting body approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing for Nurse Practitioners
- Minimum of 24 contact hours beyond generic education in pharmacotherapeutics
- Masters degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year oncology nursing experience or 1 year Nurse Practitioner experience
