Job Title: Chief Nurse Practitioner

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Nurse Practitioner to lead our team of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of oncology nursing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical oversight and leadership to the NP team, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to DFCI standards.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and clinical performance metrics to improve NP practice and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Chief PA leadership to ensure similar practice standards, professional development opportunities, and policies and procedures for APPs.
  • Supervise NP Directors and be accountable for the clinical practice of all NPs practicing at DFCI.
  • Work closely with the Nursing Executive Committee, Medical Staff Executive Committee, and other departments to ensure optimal patient care and adherence to national standards of practice.
Requirements:
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and national NP certification (ANCC, AANP).
  • Doctoral degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years previous leadership experience with demonstrated leadership competencies.
  • Over 5 years of oncology clinical experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years NP clinical practice experience is required.
