Educational Background:
Must be a graduate from a CAHEA accredited Radiation Therapy technology program or be eligible for registry.
Required Certifications:
Must hold Board Certification as a Registered Radiation Therapist (R) and possess current state licensure, along with certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Essential Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Demonstrates effective problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to interact compassionately with patients experiencing physical and emotional challenges.
Proficient in utilizing computer software for data entry and information management.
Professional Experience:
Familiarity with radiation oncology-specific electronic medical records and verification systems.
Experience with external radiation therapy, IMRT, IGRT, and CT simulation is preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must be capable of performing duties while walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.
Must be able to push or pull over 100 lbs.
Requires dexterity sufficient for computer operations.
Must adhere to Safe Operating Procedures for x-ray generating equipment.
Flexibility in work hours is required.
Availability for on-call duties during weekdays and weekends on a rotational basis.
Willingness to assist at other facilities as needed.
