Job Summary:

The Quality Outcomes Coordinator plays a crucial role in developing and implementing programs that enhance patient safety and quality of care at Women & Infants Hospital. This position is responsible for assisting with the development of initiatives that promote quality monitoring and performance improvement throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities include providing performance and quality management training and education on patient safety, assisting nursing staff with the development of best practices, and guiding the implementation of evidence-based practice where applicable.

The Coordinator will also assist with the publication of performance improvement and patient safety initiatives, provide education and support for audit requirements for all regulatory bodies, and educate staff on the skills required to develop programs that focus on improved patient outcomes.

Additionally, this role involves identifying and assisting with data collection to measure quality, and assisting departments in evaluating data and implementing changes as necessary.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required, with a Master's in Nursing or related field preferred. A minimum of five to seven years of related experience is required, along with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is proficiency in personal computer use and the English language.
