About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for the successful operation of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and expenditure for the account
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and create menus that meet the needs of our clients and customers
- Produce and execute catering events with precision and attention to detail
- Develop and implement new culinary programs in conjunction with our marketing and culinary teams
Requirements:
- A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts or a related field
- Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, with a focus on high-volume, complex foodservice operations
- Catering experience and knowledge of food and catering trends are highly desirable
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
- Experience with computers, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and the Internet
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
