As a key member of our support services team, you will play a vital role in promoting wholeness in the lives of individuals by providing emergency and supportive services that eradicate poverty and homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality social support services, including spiritual, emotional, instrumental, informational, and fellowship support to guests.
- Conduct admission and intake processes, screening tools, and provide referrals to relevant programs and services.
- Assist community resource navigators and partners in contacting difficult-to-reach guests and ensuring streamlined communication.
- Enter information and documentation into software in an accurate and timely manner.
- Answer incoming calls related to guest services and programs.
- Monitor building safety and flow, including entering and exiting procedures.
- Conduct crisis intervention and debriefing when necessary, including verbal de-escalation techniques.
- Responsible for guest residential check-in processes, if assigned to shelters.
- Encourage guests in their personal goals and acknowledge milestones.
- Greet and provide direction to volunteer teams, donors, community service providers, and other stakeholders.
- Seek to advance your skill set by attending internal and external training opportunities and attending all mandatory staff meetings.
- Perform accurate risk assessments and implement harm reduction techniques.
- Maintain professional, moral, and ethical boundaries, including confidentiality, respect for differences, and concise documentation.
- Responsible for upholding all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhering to written policies and procedures.
- Identify facility issues and submit proper and timely work requests.
- Provide Christ-centered guidance and model a life of wholeness by engaging with the faith community, maintaining an active worship and prayer life, and leading with Christ-like behavior and conduct.
- Support the organization by upholding the mission, vision, and values of The Center for Nonprofit Resources in behavior and speech.
- Work in collaboration with residential support specialists to ensure building needs are met, if assigned to shelters.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in mental health, shelter care, or similar fields preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Exhibits excellent customer service, hospitality, and professionalism.
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds (socio-economic, cultural, etc.).
