Position Overview:
We are in search of exceptional candidates for a Gynecologic Oncologist role with The Southeast Permanente Medical Group, Inc. (TSPMG). This position involves the consultation and treatment (both medically and surgically) of patients diagnosed with gynecologic cancers. Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for the surgical management of patients with complex benign pelvic conditions.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited fellowship in gynecologic oncology and be board certified or board eligible in this specialty. Furthermore, candidates should also hold board certification in obstetrics and gynecology, with a significant portion of their surgical cases performed using minimally invasive techniques, particularly robotic surgery (subject to case list review). Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a consultant to department clinicians regarding the management of patients with both benign and malignant conditions.
  2. Medically and surgically manage patients within the Ob/Gyn department who are facing malignant conditions.
  3. Assist surgically in the management of benign complex conditions within the Ob/Gyn department.
  4. Refer patients to Radiation Oncology services as necessary.
  5. Direct patients to the Infusion Center for chemotherapy and manage associated complications.
  6. Prescribe chemotherapy for patients with gynecologic malignancies.
  7. Conduct educational lectures for colleagues in the Ob/Gyn department.
  8. Collaborate with TSPMG radiation oncologists to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  9. Support the enhancement of minimally invasive surgical skills among other surgeons in the department.
  10. Work alongside genetic counselors as required.
  11. Contribute to the development and execution of a clinical research component within the department.
