Roadway Engineer II

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Roadway Engineer II to join our Tennessee team. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for developing and supervising the creation of contract documents for transportation projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of contract documents for transportation projects meeting client quality requirements.
- Analyze design issues and provide detail design that satisfies client's needs.
- Deliver products consisting of detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
- Support other discipline activities as necessary.
- Mentor young staff members and provide performance input.
- Develop skill sets to lead project development in the future.
- Provide technical guidance to young engineers and CAD Designer/Drafters on project.
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
- 5+ years of related work experience.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with road engineering.
- Experience in developing 3D finite elements models.
- DOT Road and wall design experience.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate team members in completion of project tasks.
- Provide training and lead technical discussions related to roadway engineering.
- DOT pre-certified in Road and culvert design.
- Competitive salary range: $70,000 - $123,400.
