Job Title: Construction Management Professional 6

CDM Smith is seeking a highly skilled Construction Management Professional 6 to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing multiple small to medium size construction projects of a routine to moderately complex nature.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage, and oversee construction projects from start to finish
  • Direct the day-to-day activities of construction representatives and construction coordinators
  • Coordinate and control all construction management activities, including critical path method (CPM), and scheduling and claims administration
  • Interpret plans and specifications for clients, contractors, and company field personnel
  • Provide direction to shop drawing professionals to develop project-related shop drawings
  • Coordinate and disseminate shop drawings to project stakeholders, as necessary
  • Provide internal consultation to construction representatives and serve as a technical resource to other functional groups
  • Document deficiencies, expected cost overruns, issues with materials, and other related construction issues or risks
  • Prepare related reports, such as monthly progress reports
  • Maintain daily reports of construction activities
  • Participate with sales staff, practice leaders, and project managers in developing new opportunities for business through proposal preparation and general contact with current and potential clients
  • Review government or funding agency regulations to provide consultative services that reflect an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of legal requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 years of relevant experience
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required
