Job Title: Visually Impaired Education Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Visually Impaired Education Specialist to join our remote team in California. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical virtual instruction and support to visually impaired learners in a school setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide virtual instruction and support to students who are visually impaired, focusing on their individual needs and learning goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans and accommodations to meet students' needs.
  • Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to support students' learning goals.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' success.
  • Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to monitor students' progress.
  • Provide training and support to students, teachers, and caregivers on strategies for supporting students with visual impairments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or Special Education with a focus on visual impairments.
  • Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, with eligibility to work in California.
  • Experience working with students who are visually impaired in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and resources for students with visual impairments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Reliable internet connection and technology for virtual instruction.
