Quality Assurance Analyst

At SECNY Federal Credit Union, we are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure the accuracy and quality of our operations. This role involves reviewing and verifying the work performed by multiple departments, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

We are a member-owned, non-profit, full-service institution dedicated to serving the needs of our community. Our credit union has been serving the Onondaga, Cayuga, Madison, and Oswego counties for over 50 years.


Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of new account openings, certificates, and sub-account additions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform quality control checks on account maintenance transactions, including changes to name and address, account ownership, CD changes, interest rates, credit limits, and due dates.
  • Stay up-to-date on federal and state laws and regulations, as well as credit union bylaws and policies, to ensure compliance.
  • Provide accurate and complete records of quality assurance practices and deliver reports to senior management, the Supervisory Committee, and internal/external auditors.
  • Evaluate operational functions and suggest procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness, communicating with management to implement changes.
  • Assist the CFO and CPA firm in gathering data and documentation for audits.
  • Manage AQ files for each review, ensuring accuracy and organization.
  • Maintain the accounts payable system, including entering and paying invoices, assigning general ledger accounts, and creating fixed asset and prepaid files.
  • Review closed account reports to ensure accounts are purged from the core system.
  • Coordinate the bi-annual Member Verification process, logging return statements, performing alternate procedures, and reporting findings to the Supervisory Committee.

Requirements

We are seeking an individual with an Associate's Degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
