Fleet Maintenance Manager

US Foods is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance, ensuring a safe and reliable fleet operation. The successful candidate will establish and maintain a department culture focused on people, safety, service, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance, including shop and vehicle safety practices.
- Lead the creation of a culture of safety, ensuring all US Foods associates, customers, and the general public remain injury-free.
- Interview, hire, and train fleet technicians, schedule schooling and certification courses, and provide timely evaluations of employee performance.
- Ensure all vehicles are in proper working condition, perform maintenance, and provide documentation and certifications.
- Manage purchasing, warranties, capital improvement requests, and parts department inventory levels.
- Work with drivers to enable them to operate specialized equipment properly and provide assistance when needed.
- Comply with OSHA, DOT, and Tax commission regulations.
- Produce weekly, period, and yearly reports, as well as daily OOS reports.
- Minimum 5 years of fleet equipment experience.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
- State Inspections License preferred.
- Class A or B commercial driver license preferred.
The Fleet Maintenance Manager will spend a portion of time on the road in a truck, exposed to noise and vibration levels, and will also work in an office and inside and outside the distribution center in various climates.
Compensation and Benefits:The expected compensation for this role is between $80,000 and $95,000, and the role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus. Benefits include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
