Job Summary

US Foods is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance, ensuring a safe and reliable fleet operation. The successful candidate will establish and maintain a department culture focused on people, safety, service, and cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance, including shop and vehicle safety practices.
  • Lead the creation of a culture of safety, ensuring all US Foods associates, customers, and the general public remain injury-free.
  • Interview, hire, and train fleet technicians, schedule schooling and certification courses, and provide timely evaluations of employee performance.
  • Ensure all vehicles are in proper working condition, perform maintenance, and provide documentation and certifications.
  • Manage purchasing, warranties, capital improvement requests, and parts department inventory levels.
  • Work with drivers to enable them to operate specialized equipment properly and provide assistance when needed.
  • Comply with OSHA, DOT, and Tax commission regulations.
  • Produce weekly, period, and yearly reports, as well as daily OOS reports.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of fleet equipment experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • State Inspections License preferred.
  • Class A or B commercial driver license preferred.
Work Environment

The Fleet Maintenance Manager will spend a portion of time on the road in a truck, exposed to noise and vibration levels, and will also work in an office and inside and outside the distribution center in various climates.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected compensation for this role is between $80,000 and $95,000, and the role is eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus. Benefits include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
