Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to drive the rapid advancement of materials and processes that are the building blocks of our devices. As a key member of the Materials Product Design organization, you will work with a team of cross-functional partners and external vendors to develop, test, and validate new material solutions for a wide range of Apple products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Engineering, and Operations, to develop and implement material solutions
  • Manage key vendor relationships and complex production requirements
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and risk management strategies
  • Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management
  • Communicate project status to executive management and stakeholders
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in project management for mechanical engineering or materials production
  • Strong materials fundamentals and familiarity with glass, ceramics, films/coatings
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to independently drive projects and deliver results
  • Flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience collaborating with Mechanical Engineering/Design and Operations teams
  • Experience managing key vendor relationships and complex production requirements
  • BS Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required

At Apple, we offer a competitive salary range of $165,500 to $293,800, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
