Westat is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Vice President to lead our clinical research capabilities. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, expanding our portfolio, and building strategic relationships with key government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development by identifying growth opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations in clinical research.
- Develop and implement a growth strategy for our clinical research portfolio.
- Build and expand client relationships across key government agencies, including CDC, FDA, and NIH.
- Forecast and manage monthly and quarterly business metrics, including revenue and new business targets.
- Serve as Corporate Officer for a portfolio of federally funded clinical research projects, providing oversight and support to staff.
- Lead and contribute to scientific publications and presentations.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. plus 20 years of advanced project performance/management in clinical trials, public health, or a combination of these fields.
- Domain expertise in biomedical/clinical research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a similar field.
- Broad experience with HHS agencies, including CDC, FDA, and NIH.
- Demonstrated thought leadership through publications and presentations.
