Piper Clinical Solutions is seeking a skilled Research Associate II to support a renowned research organization specializing in infectious disease research in the Rockville, MD area.
The Research Associate II will be responsible for performing TCID50 and plaque assays, as well as designing, generating, and characterizing recombinant proteins.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and generating recombinant proteins
- Performing mammalian cell culture, transient transfections, protein expressions, protein purifications, and micro pipetting in a BSL2 laboratory setting
- Conducting ELISA assays and other cell-based assays
- Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data using statistical software programs
- Maintaining detailed laboratory notebooks and creating and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications for the Research Associate II include:
- 2+ years of experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) or BSL-2 environment
- Experience with TCID50, and plaque assays
- Bachelor of Science in biological sciences and/or related field such as biology, chemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, etc.
Compensation for the Research Associate II includes:
- Salary: $55,000 - 68,000 depending on relevant experience
