RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for operating scanners to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Screen patients before exams to ensure safety and accuracy
- Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for imaging
- Perform routine and advanced imaging procedures with minimal supervision
- Assess and prepare patients for radio pharmaceuticals administration
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform daily quality control procedures on equipment
- Monitor and maintain radiation standards in the department
- Report contamination to the Radiation Safety Officer
- Department Support:
- Assist with maintaining imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as needed
- Provide training and technical expertise to new associates
Requirements:
- Knowledge of safety-related work behaviors and quality control procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with variable eight-hour day shifts, including rotating call. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for diagnostic imaging.
