Position Overview

As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients under the guidance of a physician. Your responsibilities will include thorough assessments and documentation of patients' health statuses throughout their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional nursing care to patients as directed by the supervising physician.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor their therapeutic effects.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain detailed documentation of patients' medical conditions during their treatment.
  • Execute assigned back-office tasks and serve as a telephone triage nurse, ensuring efficiency and professionalism.
  • Adhere to all operational policies and procedures of the practice.
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary, recognizing that all listed responsibilities are essential functions of the role.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program or a Nursing Vocational/Technical school is required.
  • A valid Practical Nurse license in New York State is mandatory, along with any necessary specialized certifications.
