Job Overview

Brockton Area Multi-Services is seeking dedicated nursing professionals (LPNs + RNs) for our specialized program.

Shifts Available: 3 PM - 11 PM and 11 PM - 7 AM

Incentives: New hires are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time (40 hours/week) and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for part-time (16-39 hours/week) positions. (Restrictions apply)

Compensation: $35.00/hr - $36.50/hr, which includes licensure and shift differentials.

Additional Shift Differentials:

  • Weekend Shift: Friday 11 PM - Sunday 11 PM: $3/hour
  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3 PM - 11 PM: $2/hour
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 11 PM - 7 AM: $2/hour
  • RN Differential: Additional $1.50/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with individuals facing complex medical needs, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and mental health challenges.
  2. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established health department policies and regulations.
  3. Document daily notes, track data, and conduct skilled assessments.
  4. Adhere to medical protocols and treatment plans, promptly communicating any health changes.
  5. Implement Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) to foster a supportive environment tailored to individual preferences and goals.
  6. Deliver care that promotes growth, dignity, and independence, including physical support for individuals with mobility challenges.
  7. Collaborate with direct care and supervisory teams to monitor the health status of individuals.
  8. Oversee meal preparations and train staff on specialized feeding protocols.
  9. Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), transportation, and community outings.
  10. Conduct shift reports and maintain compliance with medication and log documentation.
  11. Ensure availability of medications and medical supplies as needed.
  12. Follow protocols for the admission and discharge of hospitalized individuals.
  13. Deliver training to staff and individuals in relevant health and safety areas.
  14. Participate in holiday coverage on a rotating basis.
  15. Attend and contribute to staff meetings.
  16. Provide coverage in day habilitation or other residential programs as required.
  17. Maintain safety standards and adhere to infection control protocols.
  18. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Massachusetts nursing license.
  • A valid driver's license and a minimum of three years of driving experience are required.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and email communication, are essential.

Experience:

  • Preferred: Two years of experience working with individuals with acquired brain injuries or similar disabilities.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of nursing care theories, methods, and practices relevant to community residential services.
  • Physical ability to lift and assist individuals as needed.
  • Capability to perform various physical activities including reaching, bending, and walking.
