Fincantieri Marine Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at our Marinette, Wisconsin location.
Job Summary:The Human Resources Generalist will provide HR support to the Director and/or Manager of Human Resources in the assigned division(s). This role will assist in the recruiting effort to ensure Marinette Marine accesses, attracts, and successfully places highly competent and successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage recruiting for assigned hourly, non-exempt, and temporary positions, including posting jobs, reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates, and creating final approved offers.
- Prepare reports, presentations, business communications, data summaries, and other documents of both a recurring and non-recurring nature, performing moderately complex analyses of data to draw inferences or conclusions.
- Take a lead role in employee relations, gathering data, conducting investigations, reporting findings, and providing recommendations.
- Develop and institute HR best practices, including administering and interpreting company policies and procedures.
- Support inquiries related to benefits, retirement, compensation, and other HR-related matters.
- Lead routine HR projects, including communications, conducting meetings, tracking results, reporting, and KPI reporting.
- Oversee contract labor program, including quota management, labor levels, and rates, and interaction with vendors.
- Utilize various ADP and SAP modules, analyzing HR metrics, identifying key trends, and recommending improvements.
- Investigate, write reports, and bring to conclusion employee complaints and associated issues.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required, with 2+ years' experience in an HR Generalist or HR Specialist role.
- Proficient in MS Office suites and applicant tracking systems.
- Exceptional drive and motivation to achieve and surpass hiring goals.
- Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, talent acquisition and staffing practices, affirmative action plans, and practical application of employment law.
