About the Role:

The Purchasing Manager will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the procurement processes for Baily Foods International. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring a reliable supply of quality ingredients and materials to meet the company's production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and Implement Purchasing Strategies: Design and implement effective purchasing strategies that align with company goals and objectives. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
    • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions. Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.
    • Cost Management: Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction initiatives. Develop and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement practices.
    • Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all purchased products meet the company's quality standards. Address any issues related to product quality, delivery, or supplier performance promptly.
    • Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Inventory and Production teams to manage inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials. Implement efficient inventory management practices to minimize waste and reduce costs.


Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the food industry.
    • Experience in purchasing meat preferred.
    • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
