R&D Manager for Specialty Gas Product Line

Job Summary:
Entegris is seeking a highly skilled R&D Manager to lead our Specialty Gas product line. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of talented R&D Scientists, driving research and development activities, and executing on development plans to address customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a research and development strategy that drives business objectives, in alignment with internal and external technology roadmaps.
- Identify and manage the implementation of process and capability improvements.
- Foster internal and external technical relationships by proactively interacting with key stakeholders.
- Drive successful project execution to meet deadlines and R&D team goals.
- Drive data-based decision making across the team and organization.
- Foster innovation and drive accountability in intellectual property protection.
- Manage the idea funnel and ensure a robust pipeline of technical opportunities that are aligned to the business unit strategic objectives.
- Create a collaborative culture with an emphasis on teamwork inside the R&D department and with key support groups across other areas.
- Manage alignment of technical talent to match business needs; make appropriate resource allocation/prioritization decisions, and advocate for additional resources when gaps arise.
- Be recognized as a technical leader within the Specialty Gasses Business Unit.
- Select, develop, and coach a diverse, talented team.
- Be committed to the individual development of direct reports.
- Model company PACE values, lead by example, and hold others accountable.
Requirements:
- A PhD or M.S. in Chemistry or similar area of study is required; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-years progressive technical experience in the Specialty Gas industry.
- At least 2 years of demonstrated technical team management or project lead experience.
- Experience building teams and setting a strategic direction for an organization strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence others, at all levels within the organization.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to consider technical direction with a commercial and customer focus.

- Pay Range: The salary range for this role is estimated at $110,000-$150,000, with actual salary flexible based on candidates' qualifications and experience.
