Manufacturing Operations Support Specialist

The Manufacturing Admin Support Leader plays a crucial role in providing administrative support to our production team(s). This position will work closely with all levels of the manufacturing site to instill servant leadership and accountability for achieving site goals in People, Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage production interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of new hires to ensure quality talent is attracted and retained.
- Ensure new hire retention and safely operating in our environment through on-boarding check-ins, 30/60/90-day assessment, training, and development.
- Manage and maintain timekeeping for all hourly manufacturing employees in ADP, and adherence to attendance disciplinary actions.
- Develop and maintain an apprentice program for bootmaker key positions.
- Manage and expedite the flow of work and material for production process, for orders lacking visibility on ERP.
- Develop/ leverage collaborative relationships to achieve work goals and promote a continuous improvement culture at the site.
- Collaborate with Industrial Engineer developing work instructions and quality visuals for boot-making manufacturing processes, train employees on work instructions, quality standards, and perform verification to ensure work instructions/quality of product are being followed and implemented properly.
- Collaborate with Industrial Engineer developing, monitoring, and updating Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Process flows, etc.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on performance and progress and present them to manufacturing leadership.
- Assist Supervisors in achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly objectives to ensure all performance goals are achieved through proper execution of performance metrics: Productivity, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Customer Service.
- Participate in shift start/end, production, quality, meetings communicating needed information for the business flow and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain a strong, collaborative, teamwork environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to drive and influence change and problem resolution.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks daily/weekly/monthly.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing setting.
- Must have excellent facilitation skills, project management skills, and drive for results.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, ERP systems, and ADP Workforce Now preferred.
- English language required, additionally prefer intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
