About the Role

We are currently seeking a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services for our esteemed client's campus.

This position involves collaboration with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction experts, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage, and oversee CPM schedules and project control systems throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is integral to the project team and offers numerous opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development, maintenance, and oversight of construction CPM schedules.
  • Review project documentation and specifications to create baseline schedules that accurately reflect all required dates, activities, and milestones.
  • Conduct progress schedule updates, including comprehensive reporting and narratives.
  • Analyze project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution objectives.
  • Perform critical path analyses, identify schedule-related issues, and suggest corrective measures.
  • Conduct site visits for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for the project site team.
  • Review contractor progress and present findings to management for informed decision-making.
  • Establish metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Manage and report on costs and resources.
  • Identify and assess risks and impacts within project schedules.
  • Effectively communicate project status and challenges.
  • Engage with project teams, clients, owners, and various stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction sector.
  • A Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related discipline. This requirement may be waived with five or more years of direct experience in the vertical construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
  • Experience in developing construction project schedules for data center projects.
  • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they pertain to planning and scheduling.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) are preferred.

This role requires full-time on-site presence.

Experience with government construction specifications is preferred.

The compensation range for this role is: 95,000 - 120,000 USD per year.
