Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Associate Asset Manager to enhance our dynamic Asset Services team. This pivotal position involves assisting Asset Managers in the daily operational and commercial oversight of utility-scale solar PV facilities in the USA. The role emphasizes adherence to best practices concerning safety, quality, and environmental standards while maximizing project returns and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the Asset Services team in managing operational assets, collaborating with various departments such as Operations & Maintenance, performance monitoring, insurance, legal, finance, IT, and procurement.
  2. Assist in financial planning and analytics, including monthly revenue accruals, operating expenses, and plant enhancement initiatives.
  3. Collaborate with the Finance team to analyze monthly project-level profit and loss variances and cash flow forecasts.
  4. Participate in the annual budgeting process, analyzing individual assets and standardizing budget assumptions across the portfolio.
  5. Conduct monthly reviews of operational and financial key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement.
  6. Prepare internal and external project reporting deliverables, along with ad-hoc reports as required.
  7. Maintain a compliance database for operational assets, ensuring regular updates and compliance assessments.
  8. Oversee the reporting cycle to guarantee timely and accurate reporting of financial, operational, and contractual commitments.
  9. Administer third-party service providers, including vendor onboarding and management of purchase orders and invoices.
  10. Assist in engaging third-party operators and managing operations and maintenance activities to ensure the reliable and safe operation of the asset portfolio.
  11. Support onboarding activities for new projects transitioning from development to operations.
  12. Facilitate relationships with key project stakeholders, including equity investors, offtakers, contractors, and landowners.

Candidate Profile

Knowledge
• Experience in commercial asset management for utility-scale solar PV and/or wind energy in the United States, along with a foundational understanding of organized energy market principles and operational dispatch concepts related to renewable assets.

Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline is required.

Experience
• A minimum of three years of experience in finance, development, or operations, ideally within the energy or power sector. The preferred candidate has experience with financial investors active in the renewable energy space, independent power producers, or vertically integrated developers.
