Cardiac Critical Care Unit Advanced Practice Provider

Emory Healthcare is a leading academic health system in Georgia, and we are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiac Critical Care Unit team at Emory University Hospital Midtown.
The Cardiac Critical Care Unit at Emory Midtown provides comprehensive care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, including those with multi-system failure, advanced heart failure, and heart transplantation. Our team works closely with a variety of cardiac conditions, providing support to patients with severe states of shock, mechanical ventilatory support, and mechanical circulatory support.
ResponsibilitiesAs an Advanced Practice Provider in our Cardiac Critical Care Unit, you will be responsible for:
- Evaluating and treating patients with complex cardiac conditions
- Documenting patient care in medical records
- Conducting patient interviews and documenting patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status, and medical problems or potential problems
- Performing physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures under the direction of a physician
- Assisting physicians in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program
- Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- At least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties
- Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required
