Your Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Geologist, you will play a pivotal role in environmental and hydrogeological projects, which include site assessments, remediation efforts, due diligence investigations, groundwater exploration, and aquifer evaluations.

You will oversee the creation of digital maps and plans utilizing GIS technology.
Additionally, you will manage and analyze chemical and stratigraphic data to generate various representations, including time-series graphs.
Conducting statistical evaluations of groundwater data, such as trend analyses and comparisons, will also be part of your responsibilities.

You will assess and process aquifer pumping test data, including step-drawdown tests and constant rate tests, to determine aquifer coefficients and suggest operational parameters.

You will lead field investigations and groundwater monitoring activities.
Supervising field logging and the work of drilling subcontractors, including bedrock drilling and well construction, will be essential.
Moreover, you will assist in mentoring junior staff in field procedures, data management, and GIS production.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in subsurface investigations, technical report writing, and GIS for digital mapping.

A Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a closely related field, including completion of a field course, is required.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
Experience in groundwater sampling using various methods, including low-flow sampling, is preferred.
Familiarity with submersible, bladder, and peristaltic pumps is advantageous.
Experience in stratigraphic logging using various drilling techniques, such as hollow-stem auger and rock coring, is beneficial.
A PG or GIT license is preferred but not mandatory.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn various technical software packages are essential.
Willingness to participate in occasional emergency response efforts related to environmental releases is expected.
