Clinical Specialist in Anticoagulation Therapy

Nuvance Health seeks a Part-time 0.9 FTE Nurse Practitioner to join our Danbury Anti-coagulation department based in Connecticut, located about 60 miles northeast of New York City and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York. This is a Monday through Friday schedule.
The ideal candidate will be a board-certified Nurse Practitioner looking to join a dedicated and collegial team. Previous experience as an APRN in anticoagulation and/or Medicine is preferred. Position includes both inpatient and outpatient work at the Danbury Hospital campus and outpatient office. We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including competitive salary, generous benefits, and allowances for CMEs and Dues. This position provides initial and ongoing clinical assessment and education of patients on anticoagulation therapies under the supervision of the Medical Director.

The hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year, as well as a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center, offering 24-hour interventional cardiology. **Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide initial and ongoing clinical assessment and education of patients on anticoagulation therapies
* Work collaboratively with the Medical Director to develop and implement treatment plans
* Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to assess patient health
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
* Board certification in Nursing or related field
* Experience working in anticoagulation and/or medicine
* Strong clinical assessment skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
