About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at The Menta Education Group. As a Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of our students. Provide instruction and support in a self-contained classroom setting, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative strategies to promote student growth and achievement.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including curriculum specialists, clinical staff, and support personnel, to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress, using data-driven decision making to inform instruction and make adjustments as needed.
  • Communication and Parental Involvement: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of student progress and involving them in the educational process.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Hold a valid Professional Educator's License (PEL) with LBS1 certification or be willing to obtain LBS1 certification.
  • Experience and Skills: Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with special needs, with a strong background in evidence-based practices and instructional strategies.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate a passion for working with students with special needs, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
