Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Columbus, GA. As an SLPA, you will work directly with students and support Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering exceptional speech and language services across multiple schools within the district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Speech and Language Therapy: Assist in delivering speech and language therapy to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
  • Support SLPs: Support SLPs by preparing materials, setting up therapy activities, and providing direct services to students in individual and group sessions.
  • Track Student Progress: Help track student progress, collect data, and maintain accurate therapy records.
  • Implement IEPs: Provide support in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents.
  • Maintain a Positive Learning Environment: Maintain a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment for students.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Licensure: Active Georgia SLPA or SLP Aide license.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently under supervision.
