Position Overview:

The Associate Field Service Engineer is tasked with the critical role of managing the installation, removal, and relocation of medical equipment in designated regions. This includes thorough packing, unpacking, and inspection of products to ensure optimal functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the installation and de-installation of clinical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as completing service reports, expense documentation, and parts requisitions.
  • Engage in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex medical systems.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment, ensuring calibration records are up to date.
  • Participate in on-call duties and occasional travel as required by the role.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients when necessary.
  • Conduct final calibration and compliance testing, along with application training for client acceptance.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an electro-mechanical discipline.
  • Prior training in biomedical technology, electronics, or computer systems.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new product technologies with minimal guidance.
  • Experience in servicing electronic and electromechanical systems within the healthcare sector.
  • Proficient in the operation of relevant test equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information effectively to senior management.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Additional Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license for service-related travel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs or more).
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
