Position Overview

Salary:

We are currently in search of a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to spearhead our financial reporting division as we prepare for a potential IPO.

The Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, will report directly to the Controller and will be accountable for overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting obligations of the Company. This role will ensure the preparation and filing of financial statements adheres to U.S. GAAP standards and, where applicable, SEC regulations. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, particularly with Big 4 accounting firms or publicly traded entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of internal and external financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Generate financial data and presentations for earnings calls, disclosures, and audit committees as necessary.
  • Manage consolidation processes across multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate eliminations.
  • Provide expert analysis on U.S. GAAP, including conducting research and drafting technical accounting policy documents.
  • Supervise the reporting staff, ensuring quality control and performance management within the team.
  • Conduct variance analyses on balance sheets and income statements, assisting in the creation of comprehensive analytical review packages for executive management.
  • Review investor and debt covenant reporting, ensuring accuracy in complex transactions recorded in the general ledger.
  • Validate departmental budgets for precision before distribution to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in external financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Stay informed on new reporting and disclosure regulations issued by the FASB and other regulatory bodies.
  • As the Company approaches its IPO, manage the preparation and review of external reports, including XBRL filings, in accordance with SEC and U.S. GAAP.
  • Ensure robust internal control procedures are maintained, in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required; CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and public company environments is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of finance, financial planning, accounting, and tax, with a strong grasp of GAAP.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues clearly to all management levels.
  • Experience in the credit card or financial services sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
