Job Overview

The CNC Equipment Maintenance Engineers are tasked with ensuring that CNC machinery operates at optimal efficiency while delivering high-quality products in a secure environment. These engineers take full responsibility for equipment enhancement initiatives, overseeing the process from initial concept through design and execution. They provide essential engineering support for both scheduled and emergency repairs, modifications, and upgrades of CNC machining production machinery. The role is critical in addressing complex technical challenges that arise on a daily basis, thereby maximizing the performance of vital production equipment, which is a core strength of our operations.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

+ A Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.

+ Proficiency in CNC machining processes and maintenance.

+ A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance setting, including internships or projects.

+ Capability to perform physical tasks, including standing, lifting, and transporting equipment weighing up to 30 lbs. without assistance.

+ Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

+ Willingness to travel occasionally for short assignments, up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

+ At least 2 years of experience in maintenance planning.

+ 2 years of experience in troubleshooting support within a manufacturing context.

+ Proven experience in guiding maintenance technicians through intricate technical troubleshooting and repairs.

+ Familiarity with Siemens CNC control systems 840D.

+ Knowledge of CNC, multi-axis milling, and turning technologies.

+ Understanding of part programming, commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC machines.

+ Experience in aligning, calibrating, and validating CNC machinery.

+ Skills in coordinating contractors for project execution and equipment repairs.

+ Solid grasp of mechanical, fluid, and electrical components.

+ Background in lean manufacturing principles or practices.

+ Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

+ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

+ Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of demonstrating a strong sense of urgency.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Compensation and Benefits

The full-time salary range for this position is $142,600. This range is based on market pay structures, but individual salaries may vary based on factors such as business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications including skills, education, and experience.
