Position Overview:

The Compensation Administration Supervisor is an essential member of the Payroll department, tasked with ensuring precise and prompt payroll execution for a substantial workforce across various jurisdictions. The successful applicant should be a proactive professional with a background in diverse payroll platforms and the capability to juggle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Primary Duties:

  • Facilitate the distribution of employee remuneration and detailed earnings statements regularly
  • Oversee bonus structures related to incentive programs
  • Conduct payroll reporting activities, including general ledger report preparation
  • Maintain precise documentation and reports of payroll activities
  • Administer the process for uncashed checks
  • Evaluate and enhance payroll processing systems for precision
  • Review and modify payroll documentation as necessary
  • Audit timecard modifications within the Workforce Management system
  • Follow up on outstanding timesheets and leave applications
  • Gather and preserve payroll data for reporting and compliance audits
  • Manage responsibilities associated with payroll and HRIS platforms
  • Generate reports utilizing Business Intelligence tools for HR and Accounting divisions
  • Address payroll discrepancies and implement necessary corrections
  • Establish and maintain payroll tax jurisdictions
  • Ensure adherence to payroll regulations and best practices
  • Support year-end processes, including W2 preparation
  • Identify and propose enhancements to payroll systems and methodologies
  • Assist with audits by supplying required documentation
  • Engage in special initiatives as assigned

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • 5-7+ years of payroll expertise in a high-volume setting
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and unionized environments
  • Proficient in HRIS applications, preferably UKG Pro
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations concerning garnishment processing
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and capacity to collaborate with a diverse workforce
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to integrity and ethical standards
