Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Front Desk Receptionist to join our primary care physician (PCP) office. This role will primarily serve a Creole-speaking population, requiring excellent communication skills in both English and Creole. The Front Desk Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment and efficient operation of the front office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Greet and assist patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in both English and Creole.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Collect patient information and verify insurance coverage.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Process patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.

Communication:

  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring all relevant information is conveyed.
  • Provide information about services, policies, and procedures to patients.

Billing and Payments:

  • Assist patients with billing questions and process payments as needed.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are handled accurately and securely.

Office Maintenance:

  • Keep the front desk area tidy and organized.
  • Assist with inventory management of office supplies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or administration is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Creole (required).
  • Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using office equipment and basic computer skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, with possible evening or weekend hours.
  • Fast-paced office environment.
