Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead forensic analysis and investigations related to instrumented systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Assess complex problems and formulate strategic actions based on risk-benefit evaluations.
  • Act as the engineer of record for on-site instrument engineering and design, supporting capital projects with insightful guidance during concept development and the Front-End Loading (FEL) process.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams to ensure comprehensive scope development and minimal change impacts.
  • Oversee engineering activities, including quality assurance, technical reviews, and execution planning.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and support the waiver process when necessary.
  • Facilitate the Change Management Process with a strong emphasis on safety.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
  • A Professional Engineering License is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in detailed engineering and design within PSM-regulated petrochemical or refining industries.

Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in instrumentation design, including flow calculations, valve sizing, and temperature applications using standard design tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of process measurement and control instrumentation design methods and best practices.
  • Familiarity with National Codes and Standards such as ISA, IEC, NEC, and API, with the ability to communicate these requirements effectively.
  • Understanding of distributed control systems and programmable logic controllers.
  • Knowledge of safety instrumented system design and stage gate project development processes.
  • Experience with SAP systems or similar enterprise accounting systems.
