Position Summary:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring a clean, organized store environment with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. Under the guidance of the Store Manager, this position assists in overseeing store personnel, managing merchandise presentation, and handling administrative tasks, including paperwork and financial transactions. The Supervisor also engages in stocking and cashier duties, contributing to overall store profitability and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service; warmly greet customers and efficiently manage transactions at the cash register.
  • Open and close the store on designated days.
  • Support the Store Manager in employee scheduling, training, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Implement company processes for merchandise management, including receiving, stocking, and displaying products.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels by managing damages, markdowns, and facility controls.
  • Assist in the execution and upkeep of planograms, ensuring merchandise is displayed according to established guidelines.
  • Help safeguard the store's financial integrity through diligent cash handling and adherence to security protocols.
  • Act as the store leader in the absence of the Store Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to various situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules and operational instructions.
  • Competence in basic mathematical calculations.
  • Experience with cash register operations and report generation.
  • Familiarity with cash handling and safety control practices.
  • Capability to drive to the bank for deposits as needed.

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of retail experience and six months in a supervisory role preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Regular walking and standing.
  • Frequent bending and lifting of merchandise, with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 55 pounds occasionally.
  • Engagement in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
