Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist the management team in training, developing, and directing team members; maintain sales records; control the flow and distribution of merchandise and supplies; ensure the safety and security of team members.
- Support in achieving sales and labor goals; contribute to maximizing sales.
- Be proficient in both opening and closing store procedures, daily banking, cash handling, and loss prevention; responsible for balancing, verifying, and maintaining store funds.
- Adhere to all guest service and merchandising procedures; effectively utilize reorder guides to maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure timely ordering of products.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for necessary banking procedures.
- Reflect Weigel's image by interacting professionally with guests, associates, peers, vendors, and corporate personnel, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere.
- Receive and process deliveries according to company standards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards.
- Be accountable for the facility's overall physical appearance, maintenance, equipment, inventory, and cash management.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior retail experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read and write in English, solve practical problems, and possess basic math skills.
- Ability to work with customers and respond appropriately to inquiries or complaints.
- Good organizational skills and professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to work as part of a team and interact with various levels of staff.
- A background check and drug test are required for this position.
Additional Info:
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods; work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays; and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to safely use cleaning materials and operate necessary store equipment.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and lift up to 3 feet high without assistance.
- Ability to climb ladders and maintain balance.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and reference check.
